Summer skin care tips

Summer is here and it’s time to get your skin ready for the heat!  Summer is the perfect time to get some sun, but it can also wreak havoc on your skin. From sunburns to wrinkles, here are some summer skin care tips you should follow this season:

Protect your skin by wearing sunscreen. Sunscreen is one of the best ways to protect your skin from harmful rays and reduce your chance of getting burned. Apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours while in the sun. Apply sunscreen every morning before going outside. Choose a sunscreen that offers broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Reapply every two hours when outdoors, or more often if swimming or sweating heavily.

Apply moisturizer twice a day, especially after being in the sun or after washing your face. You can use any moisturizers or natural cosmetics. This will help keep your skin hydrated and prevent dryness and irritation that can occur during the summer months.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and healthy! Dehydration can cause dry lips and mouth sores, so staying well-hydrated is important in keeping your skin looking great all summer long! Drink plenty of water every day! During the summer months it is especially important because staying hydrated helps keep your body healthy and functioning properly by flushing out toxins through urination (peeing), sweating, etc…

Avoid tanning beds at all costs! Tanning beds are considered just as dangerous as sun exposure, so opt for self-tanner instead!

Protect your lips from the sun by wearing lip balm with SPF protection during hot weather activities such as hiking or biking.

The sun is one of the leading causes of premature aging and cancer. It is important to protect your skin from the harmful rays by wearing sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or greater. You should also wear a hat and sunglasses whenever you can, as well as protective clothing that covers your arms and legs. You can contact Odylique Cosmetics for more information.

The summer heat can dry out your skin very easily, which can lead to dry patches and wrinkles later on in life. Make sure to moisturize daily with a gentle moisturizer that does not contain harsh chemicals or fragrances that could aggravate sensitive skin types. Look for products that are labeled hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (do not clog pores).

Exfoliating your face once or twice a week will help remove dead skin cells that can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. If you have sensitive skin, try using an old-fashioned washcloth instead of a scrub — just rub it over your face gently in circular motions while in the shower or bathtub until all makeup is gone (or at least most of it). This way, you won’t irritate your skin with too much friction from a scrubbing pad or brush.
