Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who kept running for president against then-Sen. Barack Obama and Biden in 2008, said it’s “been an incredible benefit” to call Biden a companion.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) posted a photograph of her Senate swearing-in with Biden, applauding him for his “vigorous battle.”

Sens. Pat Leahy (D-Vt.), Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) were among the individuals who paid tribute to Biden on the Senate floor.
Biden kidded Monday that he was thinking about running for president in 2020.
“What the heck, man, at any rate,” Biden said.
Biden has said he’s “not leaving” after his bad habit administration closes and that he will keep on helping those attempting to discover a cure for malignancy.
