The Bahria Town in Karachi initiated its new interchange on the M9 Motorway for the public this Saturday. This is one of the interchanges in the country that is the first infrastructure project to be built and funded completely by the private real estate property developer. The aim behind building this interchange is not only to assist the residents of the Bahria town but also to help the travelers.
This is an eight kilometers long project that contains three underpasses and lots of slip roads. There are also the access roads, service roads that are part of the M9. The roads go through the interchange and extend to the bridge. Furthermore, there is also a new bridge under construction and also the causeway.
The interchange has planned to set a new drainage system completely modern. There are trees, shrubs, and plans put in alongside the connected roads, walkways, pathways, and alleys.
The interchange is also useful for the network of roads inside the Bahria town, which contains some of the good features like 18-Lane Jinnah Avenue, which was made by the inspiration from Sheikh Zayed Road of Dubai.
Five years before this, Bahria town built a brilliant set of underpasses and a flyover in Clifton. It was constructed to elevate the living standards of the residents. They were able to travel to Karachi easily. There are also important works done like the ‘Clean Karachi Campaign’ to revive the exceptional beauty of the city. People in the city are happy and joyous for the completion of this large project that adds to the infrastructure of the city. They appreciate the immense amount of hard work and organization for constructing the interchange that will prove useful for many residents as well as travelers. The high- quality and sophistication of the infrastructure add a tribute to the city by Malik Riaz Chairman of Bahria Town and Ahmed Ali Riaz Chief Executive Officer of Bahria Town in Pakistan.
