If you’ve had a hankering to try something classic the next time you’re mixing cocktails at home, there are some easy and delicious options out there. You can reminisce about the good old days with any one of these five classic cocktails.

Martini
Whether you want it shaken or stirred, martini’s have been around a long time and are still a popular drink. Mix one part vermouth to six parts gin in a mixing glass with ice and stir, then strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. It’s that easy. Manhattan

Old Fashioned

Tom Collins
Not a whiskey fan? This might be the classic cocktail choice for you then. For this one, you need to mix all the ingredients up in a tall glass. This is a drink with a lot to savor. The ingredients you’ll mix together are one part simple syrup, two parts freshly squeezed lemon, three parts gin, and four parts carbonated water. Add ice and garnish with a lemon slice and a cocktail cherry.
Gimlet
This is a really easy cocktail to make. It’s a favorite for gin lovers. If the Tom Collins seemed like a little too much for you, try the Gimlet. Just shake together one part lime juice to four parts gin, and sweeten with some simple syrup. Shake with ice and then strain into a cocktail glass. Drink it straight up or on the rocks.
